We brought some horses back from Texas one time, we got to this crossing just after 1pm and had the Vet check out the paper work. The papers for one horse was a bad photo copy and he couldn't read a corner of it and made us turn around and go back to Shelby Montana to have a Vet confirm the info.

Got back to the Border at 4:33pm as the Vet was locking the door for the day. We ran the papers over to him and he said "sorry he was done for the day." and walked to his car. We had a truck and camper and ended up camping out on the Sweet Grass school ball diamond. The next day it took less than 5 minutes to clear all 4 horses.

It's the veterinary services, this crossing is on the big North American free trade super highway. They should be open 7 days a week and if not 24, at least 12 hours a day.

the big North American free trade super highway.

This is what that highway looks like. This single, Ambassador bridge to and from Detroit carries 1/4 of all of the trade between Canada and the United States.
