Steve Nash retires from basketball

Victoria's Steve Nash is calling it a career. The 41-year-old guard announced his retirement from basketball Saturday on his Twitter account.

Pretty amazing that a skinny 6'3" white kid from Victoria would become a 2 time NBA MVP and 8 time All star. He's inspired a nation of hockey players to look outside the box and become a force in the NCAA and NBA Basketball ranks.

Well done Mr. Nash and may your retirement be as fulfilling and inspiring as your career was.

Amazing how time flies isn't it?

Seems like yesterday when he got his start in the NBA. Always has seemed to be a positive role model and an inspiration to youth.
