I got the same impression when I read the article. Seems he let his mouth would always hit the red line before his brain could hit the brake peddle.

Hope the bbc comes to senses and keeps him. Yeah he causes trouble but he makes more money for them than any other show.

Let's be clear here. Clarkson wasn't suspsended for saying something stupid (this time). It was because he got into a shoving match with one of the show's producers.

A racist comment wouldn't get him punted, look at Richard Hammond and his comment on wetbacks.....shoving his boss would get him in trouble.
