Daylight saving time kicks in this weekend, costing Canadians an hour of sleep but giving many of us a daily dose of waking sunshine.

Arrgghh. I wish we would just stay one way or the other.

I have to work tomorrow morning and I just know I'll have to drag my butt out of bed.

It's even worse now that Canada has synced their DST with the Americans. One of the advantages of living in Saskabush. The only places that change are Creighton(Flin Flon West) and I think Lloydminster.

Anything that gives me more daytime in the summer is more than welcome!

You don't get more daytime.....just drag your lazy ass out of bed an hour earlier. 11 PM sunsets and 3:30 AM sunrises mean the drunks wander about screaming that much more here.

Let me re-phrase that - anything that gets me more daylight after work is fine by me. Without it, our sunrise would just after 4 am and sunset at 930 or so.

The drunks in your neck of the woods must be different than most - the ones here don't care whether it's light or dark out!

I like that there is light in the sky until 11:30 on june 21st, and light in the sky at 2:30am june 22nd. That said, twilight is about 2 hours long on each end. Still neat to see.

I wish we'd all stick to summer time. The later in the day the light is, the better.

Here there is a faint blue glow in the north even after the sunset. The sun goes down in the NW and rises in the NE. Going fishing at 3:30 in the AM, and watching the sun rise at 3:45 is great.

The cops haul in fewer of them, as they can pass out in the bush and no one worries about them freezing to death.

Oh to have such first world problems....

It's an hour change and it happens twice a year. I'm sure everyone lived. As always.

At least we get to see who the grumpy old farts are.

Not at all. It just amazes me what people will bitch about sometimes. Trivial crap. I'm sure there are millions that wish the worst thing that happened to them today is they were told to change the clock one hour.

Changed the wall clock this morning. Then she changed it and told me about it. So I looked at it and it was like 10:40 and it was really like 2 in the afternoon. Took it down and found out she'd knocked the battery out when she changed it...
Only owned the car for a year so I've only changed the clock once. Have to RTFM some day and correct it.
DST has to be the epitome of First World Problems.
