Archaeologists and officials express outrage about the reported bulldozing of the ancient Assyrian city of Nimrud in Iraq by Islamic State (IS) militants.

    And people laughed when Canadian CF-18s bombed ISIS construction equipment. :(

    Some people online were laughing that our planes were bombing dumptrucks and dozers, instead of tanks and AA weapons.

    I have no idea why they can't bomb this equipment, as I'm not in charge of planning their sorties.

    You hit construction equipment because it's used to build emplacements, defensive revetments, defensive ditch obstacles, runways, and because the troglodyte worshippers of a 7th Century blood god are using this stuff to try to erase everyone else's history.

    As a history buff and a lover of ancient civilizations and so forth this is just a so freaking sad and pisses me off to no end.
