A chemistry teacher from Manchester who was planning to travel to Syria "to fight jihad" is jailed for six years.

It must have been the in class chemicals that made him do this.
It most surely could not have been Islam, Islam is a religion of peace, and had nothing to do with this.

His family was also commended by Det Ch Supt Mole for taking "brave steps" to try to prevent him flying out to Syria before his arrest.

Lots of families from all denominations try to prevent family members from doing stupid things.
Islam had nothing to do with that.

Islam isn't learned in the family; it's learned at the mosque.
Or, as is more usual in the UK, at the university.
