The lawyer for a security guard involved in the fatal shooting of two men at an east-end Toronto McDonald's early Saturday says the gun that fired multiple shots was "lawfully possessed."
"stratos" said Any other news source giving any indication of how this started and how it escalated into gun fire?
No, other stories are pretty vague as well. They mostly say that the guard is licensed to carry (one of the few jobs that are), and was on a break when he went into the McD's.
Other news organizations(like CTV) reported that the two shitbags attacked the guard, stabbing him in the hand(according to witnesses....of which there were about 20), in an attempt to get his weapon. There was CCTV footage of what happened in McDs, and the guard wasn't arrested, so it looks like he did nothing other than improve society.

Yea, I remember a story that said he had an injury to his hand, but didn't say why.
And the lack of arrest on his part pretty much says 'shenanigans' on their part.
"andyt" said The guard has a gunshot wound to the hand. There was some sort of fight and the two guys lost.
so he shot himself, since his was the only gun there.
or he got shot during the struggle for the gun. Even if it is a gun shot wound. Like I said once some more details come out we will be better able to determined what happened.

It was a GSW. It was all over the local news.
While struggling to fire his weapon, he grazed his own hand.

Several different sources quoting the above (or similar), but so far haven't seen what caused the injury.

Despite incidents like this with idiots taking knives to gunfights the most dangerous thing in McDonalds is still the food.
