How long have moose and ticks co-existed? Then we come along, know better and start spreading pesticide everywhere.

    No kidding!

Pissing off a 1000kg four-legged bad mood by getting within 25 meters of it and then shooting it with a paint-ball gun seems to me the kind of thing you'd expect to see coming from the Darwin Awards, not the Canadian government.

Only in rutting season would it be a problem, and that is in the fall. Otherwise moose will run as fast as they can away from you.

    And those mothers can !

I think it would actually be kind of fun. Like hunting, but all you do is scare the crap out of the Moose.

Are you REALLY willing to risk your life on that, remember momma moose can get very very upset if they think ANYTHING may be of danger to their calf!

female moose will protect their calves as well. Don't want to get between one and her calf anymore than a bear.

I think I'd prefer taking my chances with angry jihadis over an angry moose. At least with the angry jihadis you get to shoot them with a real rifle instead of a paint-ball gun!
