Not really good to have a mountie with a memory like swiss cheese.

This is dispicable, and the people who should be on trial are these guys' superiors who told them to lie and lied themselves to the media. The people who trained these cops should be looking for other employment.

I think that used to work for them. If I recall the Dzienski case was one o the first where a bystander had independent video. Before that it was just the word of the cops against the perp. Guess who won?

Now everything is on video all day long. Every morning everyone should wake up to the face of old Alan Punt going "Smile! You're on Candid Camera."

Even with third party evidence, like that video, it's still been an uphill battle.

We had an RCMP shoot a victim point blank. The cop claimed that he had slipped and fallen on ice and shot to protect himself from the advancing victim. Forensic and eyewitness evidence (by another officer) said the cop shot while standing. Cop was let off.
