It’s a huge promised increase in the number of Syrians – one that meets 10 per cent of the latest United Nations Refugee Agency appeal for nations to welcome refugees from the crisis in that country

Exactly, give another $90 million away to the ungrateful while our seniors are living, in some cases, nothing more than a third world existence. Some of our military are existing just above poverty levels while some single parent families have kids going hungry. The government can't find the funds to keep this country functioning yet they can, without the blink of an eye, pass out million upon million to others.

The Harper government says the priority for refugees will be persecuted groups, specifically religious minorities – which would include Christians – sexual minorities and victims of rape. This has prompted concern among some refugee advocates that Muslims, a majority in the region, would get short shrift in selection.

Maybe because all of those other groups in the region are escaping ... them.

Yes, I think so. Pakistan. Yemen. Soe west African countries.

We have a lot of Iranians here. Many Christians that fled years ago, but also many Muslims. But you don't see burqas or here about sharia law.

The more militant they become, the more atrocities they commit, the more intolerance they express, the less we'll be allowed to condemn it.

The rise of Wahhabism is the root of this evil.....something the Saudis are responsible for and something they continue to fund and export.
