    We take in rescue chickens and while they are grateful and they give us eggs it doesn't stop us from taking them to the vet when they need it. They're our responsibility and if we were not going to be concerned for their welfare we wouldn't have them in the first place.

    Now if only more people would give the same consideration to their children. :idea:
