Ontario's Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has cleared the way for logging to resume near Grassy Narrows First Nation after rejecting the community's request for an individual environmental assessment.

Don't think so. I believe it's just a logging area they want to use. I'm told it's been a hands off area because of the history with Mercury.

The pipeline is already "East". The big deal is about extending it into Quebec and the Maritimes.

Interesting. So it would appear that the Federal Conservatives aren't the only ones who don't give a shit about the environment, don't give a shit about consulting the Natives on potential environmental issues on their lands and apparently don't give a shit about the Natives in general.
