Environment Canada is expecting the next three months to be seasonal or warmer than normal in almost the entire country, thanks in part to El Nino, a senior climatologist says.

The El Nino, if it arrives, will be weak. The Environment Canada prediction sounds like a complete coin toss to me. I woke up to -9 the other, here in North Vancouver. WTF is this, Winnipeg????

It's tough to predict the weather a week from now, let alone months. Trouble with weather in North America is that it's highly dependent on what comes out of the Pacific. One good 'Pineapple Express' and it's Chinooks for everybody. One flick of the jet stream by a storm in the Philippines, and we freeze our testes off.

Totally agree with all the above.........but it was just a few weeks ago they said it was going to be the same as last year. :( :( :(

That was 'The Weather Network' predicting a cold winter. The Farmers Almanac predicts 'normal' with higher than average snowfall.

One of them is likely to be right in only one region of Canada at a time. ;)

OK, maybe El Nino could kick Polar vortex' ass, but what about sharknado ? Would be a good fight I think.
