Former Conservative staffer Michael Sona has been sentenced to nine months in jail plus a year on probation for trying to keep some voters in Guelph, Ont., from casting ballots in the 2011 federal election.

    Wonder what he gets in return for keeping quiet and taking the fall?


    Even the judge said he was sure there were more people involved.

    I doubt he'll want it - too much attention being paid to expenses these days, how's a guy supposed to make an honest living filing phony expense claims anymore?

    The sarcasm is strong with this one!

    I'm convinced that they all do it, because the rules let them. And to get elected, they pay lip service to changing the rules, but never do significantly enough to stop it from happening again.

    But 9 months spent in pound-me-in-the-ass prison just might.
