"Corey George Manyshots, 25, and Cody George Manyshots, 21, are both charged with kidnapping, uttering threats, sex assault causing bodily harm and assault causing bodily harm." Oh boy I bet they get off easy because they're "victims" of alcoholism and poverty.

Nope, with names like 'Manyshots' they'll get off because they're Natives.

In the case of the Winnipeg native girl assaulted by two natives, CBC had a piece by somebody twisting themselves into knots about how this was still indicative of white racism. I'm sure we'll get the same here.

Haven't got one. Maybe you cand find it on CBC website - it was written around the time that it came out the attackers of the Harper were native. And I haven't explained the content very well - essentially that the race of the Harper attackers proved nothing as far as murdered/missing native women are concerned, there's no point pointing that out and racism was still a factor. If nothing else, they can always blame systemic racism and the residential schools for producing these pukes. Oh, and the fact they grew up in foster care - that's the white man's fault as well.

This the one? Full of holes, and so terribly written that I had a hard time getting through it.

That's the one. Full force rationalization

Others might claim this impairs the narrative that racism is behind the tragically high number of missing and murdered aboriginal women. But this just reveals the danger in making generalizations and extrapolations that don’t fit.
