Automakers pledge privacy over info collected by your car

Your car may be spying on you, but a group of automakers have pledged they will keep that information private.

I guess we'll see how long that "pledge" lasts. I bet at some point they will determine that "certain" info can be shared whether the customer agrees or not.

A funny one from the comments section:
I thought me and my car had a good thing going, but obviously I was wrong. I'll never trust it again, we're ending it right now - never going out together again! And I loved that car!

The NSA already has all of this information and no pledge will ever stop them from collecting more information so long as they can issue National Security Letters and threaten people with extrajudicial incarceration.
