    It's good to see the Conservatives transparency act is doing exactly what it was intended to do. Getting the rank and file Natives the information they need to make an informed decision about why they're living in squalid poverty while their leaders are living like Leona Helmsley. :lol:

    I expect alot more animosity and anger from both natives and whites to surface as these elites taxpayer funded incomes become more public knowledge.

    This guy emigrated to the reserve from the states several decades ago, and change his last name from Smith (something like that) to Sam. Guess he's very prescient, since I doubt in the 70's there was so much money to scam from being a chief.

    My folks used to live in the Shuswap and as far as I can remember, the only commerce or industry that the Shuswaps engaged in was the placement of billboards all over the land that they have such a close spiritual connection to. In fact, the Shuswap are notable for their total lack of achievement of any kind during pre-Columbian days. ... nothing compared to the coastal peoples with which they must have had contact, anyway. Perhaps, they lived off of the welfare of the Salish, Haida back then.

    So Shuswap(Secwepemc) is a Salish word for grifter?

    it's funny. Somewhere in central Eurasia, someone said the exact same thing to our pre-Celt ancestors about 10,000 years ago and sent them in the opposite direction!

    No....completely different. We were drunks who liked to fight. Those who were too cheap to pay for their own drinks ended up as the progenitors of the Scots and Picts....the few lazy ones became the Irish. The weird little inbred ones....wellllll....Cymru needed miners.

    R=UP

    Nothing like a true history lesson condensed down to 4 lines on a forum. No wonder you became a teacher. You're the only guy I know who could shrink a year's syllabus into a 2 week online course. ROTFL

    " ??? It took a coal miner
    to find her vaginer
    and the hair on her dicky-die-do
    hung down to her knees. ???"

    Excerpt from a traditional Welsh folk song.
