You have got to be shitting me. We have a terror incident in Ottawa and the Americans don't even have enough smarts to beef up their security and stop yet another intruder to the White House. :P

Must be that they figured no terrorists could be smart enough to coordinate two attacks in the same day.

They did stop him. As a matter of fact they let two dogs eat on him. That's a big improvement from just recently when they let an armed man run into the White House because the rules of engagement prohibited shooting him.

So only getting inside the White House fence and then being detained is considered a security success in America now?

How times change. I can remember when they used to protect the place outside the fence to.

The guard dogs got a workout, and weren't too scared either when the monkey started throwing punches at them, which is a good thing. Security system worked for a change, and that's a good thing.
