Study: Smelling farts is good for your health

A new study at the University of Exeter suggests that exposure to hydrogen sulfide — a.k.a. what your body produces as bacteria breaks down food, causing gas — could prevent mitochondria damage.

I can imagine being a crowded elevator and letting out a ripe one. When everybody turns to glare, I just say, "no need to thank me, it was my pleasure", and then getting out at the next floor.

Waving hand frantically in the air, "I know, I know. I know where that talk of Frisco and Priuses comes from. From the South Park episode where the residents were the progressive prius owner types of San Francisco, and they were so smug and self-satisfied they openly enjoyed the smell of their own farts, right? Smug Alert.
