This is what always made me realize that Hitler was a fucking loon. If I'm going to describe my idea of a "master race" I would probably describe it as having features most closely resembling my own.

Brown hair and eyes, and a bit of Jewish blood in the family excluded Hitler from his own vision of "master race".

A lot if that "blonde and blue-eyed" stuff has been wildly over emphasized by the Western media and Hollywood over the years. Germans really just had to prove a pure non-Jewish bloodline going back several generations to gonfirm aryan status. The blonde blue eyes might have been the idealized archetype but you could look like a gorilla and still be considered aryan if your family background was confirmed. The Nazis gave honourary Aryan status to the Japanese due to their high status over other Asians; they also had high regard for the Chinese due to their ancient culture. They also really didn't hold any genuine racial animosity towards Muslims or Indians either.

Hitler didn't come up with this crap for his own aggrandizement, but to give Germans something to believe in after their defeat and to have a scapegoat group to blame your troubles on. Very clever. It more like psychopathic behavior on his part, rather than insanity. But really it's just the way of the dictator, we see it in Putin and Kimmy and who have you now. Just that the Germans, as usual, had to take it up a few notches, no half measures for them.

It was more that thulish little twit Heinrich Himmler who pushed for the creation of the Blond superman race. German occupiers literally stole thousands of Aryan looking Slavic children.

Yeah, it was all fairly complex, not just a case of the Nazis trying to weed out the uggos by over breeding pretty people. They ptobably would have left Africans alone for the most part, for example, even if they regarded them as primitive and backwards. Their real ire was reserved for what they saw as degenerate and actively evil Jews and for Slavs that were in the way of lebensraum or had been corrupted by communism.

Slavs could be turned into unthinking serfs, while the Jews were competition to be be eliminated, as they espoused things like democracy, individuality and secularism.

I think it was Himmler who really was batshit crazy. He picked up some Tibetan ideas about universal energy, so he built a containment room for this energy, then starved and mistreated prisoners in there and when they were near death made them have sex with prostitutes. Not sure if he killed them during he act. The idea was that this would release an energy force which they could use to power their tanks, since they were running short of oil.

It's been popularized that Nazis were going to try and ethnically cleanse the world. However that would have been in conflict with their stated ideology and actions taken. They wanted to secure a homeland for their people free of what they viewed as unwanted other groups. Outside of the planned homeland, they didn't have any stated long term plans of trying to wipe the world clean of everyone but Aryans.

They worked with the borrow the SJW term, people of colour to secure military and diplomatic goals all over the world.

It's far easier to just blindly hate a group, misrepresent their actions and ideology, than it would be to present them as a nuanced group made up of both good and evil aspects.

The biggest enemy to the Nazis were communists. A group they fought up until the US backed and armed communists were able to destroy them. At which time the US then had to fight the people they once were giving arms and equipment to. Funny how that seems to keep happening.

They pretty much shot all the Senegalese troops in French uniform that were captured when France surrendered in 1940. Yet at the same time they pretty much left any black civilians in France alone. It was a weird situation with erratic outcomes where ones fate could be determined solely by which branch of the German military was encountered. At the same time their racism and bigotry was much more focussed, with a high emphasis against Jews then Slavs. Compare it to the Klan/white supremacists today, who pretty much hate anyone who isn't one of their own with an equal fervour.
