It seeks to re-create a medieval-style caliphate erasing borders from the Mediterranean to the Gulf. It deems Shi'ite Muslims to be heretics deserving death.

Finally. One of the crazie's actually came out and confirmed what most have known for years but, because of political correctness didn't speak out about.

Although, given that the last part of the statement likely means it isn't going to end well for around 15% of the Islamic population if these enlightened, forward thinking zealots gain anymore power, we can only hope that their march towards the dark ages is halted and soon.

What? Man, the shit you come up with. Every time somebody mentioned ISIS, it's mentioned that their mission statement is to create said caliphate. Who exactly are these pc folks that you're fuming about today? Do you just make up shit to fume about when there's no real shit to fume about?

I guess I missed his point then. I've seen no conspiracy to keep quiet about ISIS's aims. Hell, their name itself tells you that.

ISIS is taking on to much spreading itself thin by continously taking territories in Iraq because it's going to be harder to hold on to them. This is something Al Qaeda hasn't done which is why they've been more effective.

This isn't all about ISIS. The reason they were able to rout the Iraqi army is because they have the support of the Sunnis, including Sunni militias. The Sunnis have decided they'd rather live under ISIS than being repressed by the Shia under Maliki. At least for the moment. At some point, they will probably depose ISIS after they form their own country.

Al Qaeda may also be about forming a Caliphate, but they're been much more focused on world terrorism - to no real advancement of their goals, in fact they've been decimated. ISIS, despite the rhetoric, is focused on a specific region where they see a weakness.

One certainly can't fault ISIS for a lack of ambition...

Methinks this Caliphate will be a lot shorter lived than the last one......there are too many elements that hate ISIS, including other Muslims. ISIS will become WASWAS

If your reading and comprehension skills were more attuned to the real world rather than some fantasy utopia where everyone lives with their rainbows and unicorns you might have noticed the "medieval-style Caliphate" part but, I guess that would make the people who have been saying that Islamic Radicals want to return the world to the 14th Century right which, definitely wouldn't fit your apologist agenda.

Last time I watched CNN, everything was concentrated to the left side of the screen.

Obama should enrol all of ISIS into his health care scheme, that will screw them.
