Armoured truck driver shot multiple times in failed robbery

An armoured truck guard is in life-threatening condition after he was ambushed and shot multiple times in an attempted robbery outside a bank early today in Toronto's north end, police say. Three people are in custody.

Reason why there should be 3 Guards. Cutting costs.
From what I understand Brinks uses 3 guards.

They should all have 3 guards. I thought that was typical since the occasional time I've seen armoured trucks delivering/picking up it seems there were two doing the task and one stayed with the vehicle.

They are very fortunate that no bystanders were injured considering the amount of shots fired between them. Hopefully the guard will make a recovery.
