These millionaires were led to believe that money would buy their way into Canada — and now they’re suing Ottawa for millions more for not letting them in.

These guys kind of have a case - they made commitments based on promises the government agreed to. At the very least, we should have reviewed the outstanding cases and not allowed anymore applications. Then we would have covered our asses too.

Harper better hope they don't win or his surplus is going right out the window...

They should just walk across the border and demand citizenship.

Just reject all their applications then. There was never a promise they were guaranteed an in. They are not citizens and not in Canada, so no charter rights. Their money will be refunded. Too bad, they have to stay in their own country and try to make something of it, instead of getting rich in a corrupt system that uses slaves, then wanting to move to a civilized country. What's next, the TFW's are going to sue us because we put that program on hold?

One woman in China sold her hair salon in anticipation of moving to Canada. “Now she says, ‘I don’t have a visa, I don’t have a hair salon and I don’t have an income.’”

Uhhh, so how was she going to cough up $800,000? That must have been one helluva busy hair salon.

I was thinking the same thing. But in China, wondrous things are possible. We had a guy in Vancouver, living in Shaughnessy, the most expensive area of the city, give his source of income as a paper route. It almost makes you wonder if some of these people have sources of income that are not legit, but I try not to think that way because that would be racist.
