Would have been better to leave her in Hawaii, make her into a reef.
The whole thing is just embarrassing.
Why is this embarrassing? The ship was crippled by a fire and has been deemed unrepairable(at this point). It would be more embarrassing to have left her in Hawaii and not clean up our own mess.
