The mother facing the death penalty in Sudan for abandoning her religious faith is to be freed in a few days, a senior Sudanese official says.

Not really free they will wait two years before hanging her.

She was sentenced to death and during sentencing told she was allowed to nurse her baby for 2 years.
This story says she will be released. Not just for 2 years. Or at least, that is my take...

If they were merciful they'd be discussing whether botched lethal injections or firing squads were more humane...
