The Alberta government is set to start selling off crucial caribou habitat to the energy industry just days after a federal scientific panel said the herds were in immediate danger of vanishing completely.

Words don't describe my anger or embarrassment at our government right now. People have been fighting for 30 odd years to get some protection for this species, and every year their habitat has been chipped away. Now they might as well be extinct.

And the beat goes on. Nothing new to see here folks!

The only thing that shocks me here is that under the Harper regime, Federal scientists were actually brave enough to publish a report that shows energy industry threating the environrment - we know King Stephen doesn't allow that. They must all be fired and blacklisted from government jobs by now.

We have conservatives running the province? Did we have an election while I was away and Danielle is now premier?

    LIBERALS!

    LIBERALS!

Everyone knows that the current 'liberal' party in office brought in a sales tax, increased funding for social services and post-secondary institutions, charges some of the highest royalty rates in North America, replaced the flat income tax with a progressive income tax after they got elected AND still has a leader that enjoys full support of the caucus for their increased spending on infrastructure and healthcare.

Oh wait, NONE of that has happened.

So much for a 'liberal' government in Alberta...time to go back to the desert and embark on another vision quest in that godawful heat! :P
