Doesn't the prospect of Russian sanctions against us make you quiver in your boots? What next? Are they going to cut off our suppy of Beluga Caviar? Oh-me-oh-my! ... no more Lada parts? ... have to hitch it up to a horse (if you haven't done that already). Maybe, they'll keep their hockey players home this NHL season ... cut off one their biggest sources of hard western currency, in the process. What does Russia have that we need?

    Anyone?

Somebody wrote in to point out the large display of Russian Vodka for sale in his liquor store. Our sanctions are just show.

Since you can wipe your bum with roubles, they need every nickel of real currency that they can get their hands on. I'm sure that you can still book a flight on a Soyuz.

BTW, Read the label closely. One of the "big" Russian vodka brands is actually made in Latvia.

I don't drink vodka. My point is that if we're serious, why are we still trading with them

There is not much trade between Canada and Russia.
