North Korea says it may still go ahead and test a new kind of nuclear device following U.S. President Barack Obama's visit to Seoul, but is keeping analysts guessing as to when that test might take place.
While OBama may be correct in that there is no single magic bullet that will fix North Korea a round fired into the fat boys's skull would go a long way in that effort.
Talk to China, maybe they make more effective liberators than the US, and it's their problem anyway. China just isn't crazy about supporting all those Koreans when the country collapses. Cheaper to just prop it up, I guess.
Why can't China just smack them around a bit? I mean, yeah, I guess it, global communism blah blah blah. Just shut them the fuck up and make North Korea a market for Chinese goods.

Because China doesn't want millions of refugees streaming across the border. It's the Powell doctrine. better to prop them up, and if NK takes the mickey out of the west, so much the better. China can claim innocence. Unless NK goes too far one day.

Yeah. The big focus has been on the situation in Ukraine and Russia.
It seems every month or so there is another news story about NK's nuclear activity. Then you hear nothing.... then another story. Always the same tone of "something must be done" but nothing has really changed.

Yeah, same with Israel and Palestine. Nothing's changed there in 50 years. Now and then it flares up with some inanities about a "peace process." Then just disappears again.

China could pawn it off on the South Koreans, but they don't want another rival on their border.
