Man critically ill in Saskatoon after travel to Africa

A man who recently travelled to Liberia in western Africa is in critical condition in hospital in Saskatoon, according to provincial health officials.

Werker said officials believe the man was not ill at the time he travelled, noting a three-week incubation period is normal for Ebola and Lassa Fever, another one of the suspect diseases. He fell ill after arriving in Canada.

Well I hope the people who could have been in contat with him have been notified.

Just lovely! I mean what the hell man, this is the internet/information age. There's no shortage of sites to find out where there's outbreaks of highly contagious diseases going on.
Hell, I looked it up one day recently just out of curiosity.

Would it be a bad idea for there to be a mandatory quarantine for travelers who come to Canada from regions where highly lethal and contagious things like Ebola are running wild?

One of these days some clown is going to bring Captain Trips back here.
