Jordan Chiasson bought an old military helmet in an army surplus store in Moncton, N.B., for $30 last summer, but the joy he created for the Second World War soldier who owned it is priceless.

And now that old Vet can apply to have the administrative deduction for "Helmet 1 in number" taken off his records and the money refunded.

Sorry, what was I thinking. The term Veteran, money and refund is an oxymoron to the Conservatives. :P

    Fantastic story!

So considerate that the effort was made to get the helmet back to its original owner.

What are the chances that you would even find a 93 year old vet alive!

They going fast. My veteran father would be 97 this year if he were still around. Find one of those olds guys, shake his hand and say "Thank you" while you still have the chance.

    I hear ya Jabberwalker…
    I love this story….
Not much happens to us when we hit those years and something like that really makes a difference.
I bet it put two years on his life!
