SWITZERLAND is scrapping benefits for unemployed migrants from the European Union and planning new powers to expel them ahead of a referendum on a migration cap next month.

    Slowly, slowly....

Giving benefits to people who hadn't paid into the system was a mistake.

Expect the referendum question to pass.
Even the Swiss are feeling the pinch.

Man the EU is nuts, if they allowed these sorts of things in the first place, and Switzerland for going along with it. I guess it comes from pretending that all partners in the EU are equal. They should have stuck to a free trade agreement with easy (but not free) movement of labor.

Well Switzerland doesn`t really have to worry about EU rules since it isn`t a member, mind you they follow some EU approaches because they have to trade with them

No benefits for those who have not paid into a system long enough and are not citizens? Bizarre concept!
