She's shown in a head shot, in black and white, while three others are shot full-length, in color.

Elle? I'm trying hard to care, but I'm failing.

Isn't that one of those things that only anorexic women and gay men read?

Myself, I think the only thing that makes this story interesting is how viral it has become. Google it in the news section. You'll see. Apparently some people care. Who are they, and why do they care?

According to the Globe and Mail the new age, man-hating, feminists at Jezebel.com were among the first to board the rage train.

I read an interesting one about them this morning. They're going after what they call "Toronto's Twitter Troll".

Maybe people should just get off the internet and bitch at real life again.

"I love my @ELLEmagazine cover. It made me feel glamorous & cool. And if anyone wants to see more of my body, go on thirteen dates with me."

    You go girl!

The goal of magazines like this is to give 'random people' a sneak peek into the lives of the rich and famous, they try to educate their target group in issues they think their target group wants to be educated in.

Don't fit in the target group? Then simply do not read it. WHY does everyone ALWAYS have to bitch about stuff that doesn't concern them???

Who are you talking about - the people complaining about the mag, or FD complaining about those people?

Jezebel, who wrote the bs article (they obviously did not ask Mindy herself what she thought), people who take blog posts for news articles and put some value on it, and everyone else (including myself) who has something to say about this' viral' nonsense.
Don't buy the freaking magazine if you don't like it. I don't, I don't fit in their target group anyway.
But holy shit, should everyone constantly bitch about everything??
Now 'we' are all online, we can, AND we do.

It is a way society went that I do not like.

I still do not understand how this is a 'current event' anyway. But I guess that is just me.

Trust me, it ain't just you
I know what you mean too. It's like there's a bunch of outrage addicts out there constantly looking for any excuse to be outraged. Even down to some idiot whining about how restaurant commercials display 5% more White people than are actually represented in the Canadian population. Personally, I figure if he was going to whine about racism in restaurant ads, he'd have something to say about the prevalence of Black people in KFC commercials.
