Well the Scrooge act continues with the Conservatives. Here's Peter Mackay talking about a $200 or $300 fine as if it were nothing. Well not to a high-flying mandarin like him maybe, but to some homeless shmuk, yeah, it's a big deal. "There are even prisons where you can pay off the debt" says Mackay. Reminiescent of Scrooge: "Are there no workhouses?"

And the money, that Peter Mackay claims is for the victims of crime, goes to general revenue. Humbug!

It goes into his "pick me up at the fishing lodge" helicopter fund.

Well, at least they aren't building gazebos with it.
