Call of Duty Ghosts shakes up venerable video game

It would be nice if it were a real 'shake up' though. DOOM3 and Unreal Tournament played with gravity and environments . . . 10 years ago. So all they did was take Sara Michelle Geller, Danny Trejo and George Romero out, and insert Alien noises in their place.

Here's a shake up; give the PC players the same maps at the same time as console players, and if we already have the map in another COD title - make if free! I hate paying for suckage twice.

One thing though. It's gotta be better than that unmitigated disaster that EA just put out called BF4.

Lag, crashes, stutter, horrible netcode and hackers, not playability have become the hallmark of the BF franchise.

That whole article made me laugh my ass off. The Penny Arcade comic only added to it.

I love how adding female characters is now considered groundbreaking. It really shows how little prospective and large amounts of ignorance the article has compared to the games industry as a whole.

In another game I played (until developers fucked it up) you could have female characters - but they cost more money! There were a couple male avatars for free, but others and all female ones were only purchasable with real $ or in-game cash (with a currency exchange between them).

I'm so tired of Shooters. Bought CS:GO, played 30 minutes, Borderlands 2 I put a couple hours into it, but probably will finish at some point. From what I have seen from COD or Battlefield(post 2)is that they jumped the shark years ago and continue to get more ridiculous with each new release.

Minecraft Mods eat up most of my Gaming time these days. As far as I'm concerned it's the Game that has shook up the industry, spawning multiple other games based around it. It is certainly the game with the most prolific Modding community these days.

I've got to be honest the only FPS I play now are the half life games (because they pretty much revolutionize the FPS everytime they come out) Portal and some horror type games like Amnesia.

Games like CoD are now a dime a dozen and why on earth would I plop out 60 bucks for the same damn thing that everyone else is already offering.

Meanwhile, game play on BF3 MUCH improved after the a-holes ran off to go play BF4 - anyone who wants to rank up in BF3 I'd say now's the time!

I have to say I'm tempted by CoD: Ghosts, but then I remembered my pledge; I'm done with shooters (at least until Titanfall next year). I've smashed too many controllers playing both BF3 and CoD and my neighbours all thing I have Tourette's because of them.

Though I like how they've finally nerfed quick scoping Cod. That was my biggest rage inducing mechanic.

Listening to guys on TS who are playing BF4 are quite pissed about this game so far. Lots of issues as mentioned above. Im a COD guy but all their games have sucked since W@W. I got B/O the day it cam out but only played it for a short time and went back to W@W which I still play all the time. I have maybe 10 hours on B/O and can't stand it so I doubt I'll be getting the latest one.
