It's going to be hard. As far as I know there aren't any American companies that make it anymore and the only one who do are in Europe and they've been forbidden from selling to the US.
The Chinese have buckets full of bullets made for just such occasions so, I don't think they'd object to selling a few to Texas. I do wonder though if they'd come with a translated version of the paper work to bill the families of the deceased for the cost of the bullet?
Why doesn't Texas hold a lottery and the winners get to execute prisoners with the weapons of their own choice!? This is an ideal Texas solution, really, and millions who otherwise would never get the chance of killing someone with their assault rifles, Glocks, etc. can fulfill their deepest fantasies and kill without consequences.

It is a VERY friendly place. Two summers ago, I drove the entire width of southern Texas (along the Mexican border) and back again. I was mightily impressed at how overtly friendly everyone was. I was aware in the back of my mind that most of them were better armed than the Taliban ... but Texan friendly. There is some sort of self-restraint at work, there. It's probably the N.R.A.'s ideal plain in which everyone is potentially so dangerous that only lunatics really try anything. This is the theory behind arming everyone in elementary schools and also in nuclear deterrence, in general.
If the Europeans think it's not humane to sell the drug, then whatever alternative method is selected will be caused by the EU.
Going back to gas, or electricity is what will happen (or hanging or shooting or whatever else). What will not happen is Texas no longing having people commit capital crimes.

Does Texas execute a lot because it has a lot of capital crimes taking place, there or are there a lot of capital crimes taking place there because they execute at such a high rate? There seems to be a direct causal relationship between violence by the State and the violence of the individuals that reside there. Peaceful countries tend to have peaceful populations (obviously). Which comes first ... a State that doesn't terrorize it's people with the threat of execution or a culture that rejects that kind of violence?
If we brought back our death penalty in Canada, would our violent murder rate go up?
"GreenTiger" said Texas will move heaven and earth to get the drug to maintain its position as the execution capital.
Nope DHS is enforcing and Inspecting there Death Prison for any Illegal and all pentobarbital in there system. not even hospitals will sell Texas any and that includes any in state. The State of Texas however has two other ways to execute, a Hanging or Firing Squad. Believe me they have a hanging area built and ready along with a Wall. This really isn't new news, it's been going on for a couple years now nationally.
Air works just fine. And is cheap.
A rope is more fun to watch.
That or 4 horses.

Your honour I had to stab the victim 14 times, nobody would sell me a gun.
