Ancient fossils of an extinct family of insects have been found in British Columbia and northern Washington state, and a Canadian biologist says they may hold valuable lessons about climate change and evolution.

That reminds me of the giant mosquitos of Manitoba that can allegedly carry adult livestock away.

I was camping in the Yukon one year and heard a couple of mosquitos talking outside my tent about whether they were gonna eat me there or have me as take-away

I used to live fairly close to Republic. It's amazing anything exciting occurs there.
