No, it's obviously the zoo's fault...

A Montreal woman who was mauled by a lion at a South African wildlife refuge where she was volunteering believes she was put at risk when she was asked to work alone within reach of a lion's pen.

“They should not have put me in a feeding cage where a lion can stick out his arm completely and grab you,” Lauren Fagen, 18, told CBC’s Daybreak from a hospital bed in South Africa, where she is recovering from Monday's attack.

“It’s irrelevant what I was doing — he just shouldn’t be able to grab me like that.”

    “It’s irrelevant what I was doing —

    p.s. She's 18, so it's Chretien's fault. :)

Lauren Fagen needs to follow this up with a trip to Tahrir Square. What will happen there won't be her fault, either.

Sorry Honey, it's not. If you are across the room, he can't grab you. If your face is against the cage, guess what? Lion kisses are much toothier than a housecats'.

I'm guessing that her lawyer told her to change her story.

I doubt the cat has any money.

The Rehabilitation Centre probably doesn't have any either, but I'm sure that the lawyer is betting on insurance money.

And I'm pretty sure a shovel has a longer reach than the lion so unless you failed an IQ test you can always stay out of range of them even when needing to clear in front of them.

No matter how you look at it, this "woman" is without doubt a total nut case. From the CBC link Martin posted....

“This little girl, she confessed the first day, ‘I’ve come to hug a lion or a cheetah or a leopard. I want to hug them,’” Jones told CBC News.

“I said, ‘You cannot hug no animal. A week later, she’s trying to hug the leopards. She’s chasing the antelope around the yard. She’s trying to hug them. I thought, ‘Goodness me. She’s cuckoo.’”

Any chance of a lawsuit just went out the window.....with the rest of the cuckoos...
