Wow. Pretty awful stuff. I live in a flood-prone area so this whole thing is close to my heart.

Tough times for a lot of folks. Spectacular to watch. Not so much fun if it's your life being uprooted.

Major disaster for Alta - those poor folks. Lots of damage so far - Saddle Dome under water, Calgary Zoo under water, Stampede grounds under water - homes washed away, roads closed and downtown Calgary closed - guess I shouldn't complain about all the rain we have had here in the interior of BC as we have not had any flooding so far.

This is what's coming towards Red Deer, turn your speakers down if you watch, bad wind noise.

I have to admit, I was laughing when I first read Calgary was declaring an emergency after 12 hours of rain. Then I went home and turned on the news and felt like a asshole.

Stay safe and dry as you can Alberta.

That takes integrity and guts to admit that here.
