An Indiana man woke up this past Wednesday morning to discover that during the night his pet pit bull had gnawed off two of his toes.

Dog wonders what fuss is about?
Dog knows you chew and lick clean infection or it spreads and you die.
Dog asks why you humans don't do it themselves when it even tastes so yummy.

Saliva(your own) has cleansing and healing properties. One of the first things many people do after getting a cut is to pop your mouth onto it....it's instinctive.
