She was ordered to complete 250 hours of unpaid work by Hendon magistrates.

I would hope those 250 hours would be working for Help for Heroes.

The court heard Hassan's father works in Somalia for organisations including US Aid and Prevent which aim to combat extremism.

    Father Fail.

Somehow, I just don't beleive her.

Yes and no, if what is said about him is true then yes he failed but at the same time it makes it even worse for her and what she did. She would have been around and tought what her father did and beleaved in. (thus my no portion) For after being tought these things she rejected them with her tweet.

And I agree I do not beleave her that she did not know he was a soilder when she sent the tweet. Within an hour or so it was being broadcast here that he was one.

I would hope those 250 hours would be working for Help for Heroes.

I wonder what the sentence would have been, had she been white and tweeted something similar about Muslims??

Really only a matter of degrees in the slow death of free speech.

I wonder if Ezra would still be on tv or even free if he did what he does in England?

Does this womans tweet fall under a hate crime in some way? Till unsound mentioned it I never even considered it as a free speach issue. now I am almost at the point of doing a facepalm. Just glad shes not in the US or I would have to do like 5 of them do to the first admendment and my support of the constituion.

Not in the UK, it is not possible for an Islamic to be charged with a hate crime.

However, since she was arrested after complaining about the responses she got,

meaning she loves to dish out the hate, but not very good at taking it,

I expect some of those be prosecuted as a hate crime.

Funny how that works, eh ?
