A Canadian taxpayers group thinks drivers are paying too much for gas and they’re digging into their pockets to prove it.

Here in North Bay we're currently in some kind of gas war of undetermined origin. Prices recently have been as low as $1.09 per litre.

Love them old Dodge engines. Gas guzzling dinosaurs but man they'd pull a 5 bedroom house without breaking 3 grand.

Ahh, the duty free pumps at the Ambassador Bridge, one of the very few perks of being in Windsor.

Looking out the back window at the Safeway gas bar it's at 1.164. That is low for around here, safeway and cosco have the best price. I've seen 1.239 elsewhere. It was 1.099 on Monday.

The days of cheap gas are over. 5 years from now, we'll think $1.50/l gas is a bargain.

It's not so irritating that gas is expensive. We know it'll get more expensive as it becomes more scarce. I also don't mind paying high gas taxes to discourage consumption, pay for roads, fund alternative energy research. But it pisses me off is when the oil companies are colluding to line their pockets. I think the oil companies should have to publish their fuel prices and maintain them for 60-day periods. We shouldn't permit them to run their prices up and down like a whore's underpants.
