Wow, some days it's hard to tell the difference in the U.S. between terrorist attack and incidents where Americans are just trying to kill eachother.

People may kill people but it's a hell of a lot easier to do with an automatic weapon or an extended magazine.

Can't wait for the NRA to tell us if the women and children were armed this would never have happened.

Yep, people have pointed that out. If these guys had been slightly better shots this could have been on the level of Boston. In some ways the motivation seems he same too - to instill terror. In this case, presumably just to let people know they ran the neighborhood, not a larger political reason, but still a similarity.

You just couldn't wait to jump on the gun-bashing bandwagon, could you?

You should come up with a good plan to make sure shit like this doesn't happen anymore. I don't know, but I never hear about this here in Canada, or in The Netherlands, for that matter.

You don't have any African-American populations of any significance. We do.

    Ah...

If you read the article you'll see the police said as much when they blamed the shooting on a 'street gang'. In New Orleans the street gangs are young black males.

Feel free to look at the demographics of violent crime in the USA. Once you remove blacks and Hispanics from the statistics the USA (per capita) is actually a pretty mellow place.

And it should be noted that the place in the USA with the least gun control, one of the highest levels of gun ownership, unpermitted open carry and concealed carry, and almost no Hispanic or black population (Vermont) is also the most peaceful state in the USA.

Your proud country put them in chains and brought them to America as slaves, now they're "free" and you just want them to fuck off.

I never said that. The fact remains that blacks are disproportionately responsible for violent crime.

While Hispanics are also represented in the crime stats beyond their proportions, overall they are less likely to commit violent crimes than are blacks.

    It's not an opinion, it's .

I'm sorry you are offended by the mere mention of the facts but they remain the way they are and you are invited to go look at the facts for yourself.

As to slavery my country spilled plenty of blood to atone for it and to end it.

We paid in blood because we didn't end slavery in 1783 when we should have.

Oh, and it was the British who started slavery in North America.

    My comment still stands.

I get that you think 'whitey' is holier than any other race/color/creed, but that does not solve the problem of people shooting at random strangers.
