Small clarification for posterity: "Updating and Canadianizing" the Norwegian blueprints is costing two-and-a-half times the amount Norway spent on designing and building their 2 ships...the $100M Norwegian figure appears to be their total project cost, not the per unit cost.

What's worse is that I'm almost willing to bet money that Irving out-sourced part of the design to designers in India or China too. Even if they used people here to design it, it should have cost 20 times what everyone else paid.
