Sorry, one game is the right call.

He should have been given a 5 minute major and a game misconduct for the hit to the head in the 1st place, after that leave it to the NHL. It's just too bad it went unnoticed by the refs during the play.

It's one game in the playoffs. You naled it Hyack--the tragedy is mising the call to start with. Bruins aren't going to miss Ference. A man short for 5 minutes would have hurt more...except, I guess we are talking about Toronto.

It's how the Bruins operate. Torpedo the talent.

Yeah, no other team tries to hit opponents "skilled" guys.

I'm still trying to figure out whose fans are the biggest whiners and right now it's a toss up between Vancouver and Montreal.

Montreal's fans have always been whiny and Vancouver fans still can't get over the fact that Boston humiliated them on home ice in game seven of the finals.

I agree with everything in your post. 8O

One game is the right call. During the season it would be worth more I think...but Grabo sucks so the elbow won't make him any worse.

This was an intentional shot to the head, unlike Gryba's hit on Eller which was a legitimate check that had unintended and unforeseen consequences

I'm worried that Ottawas Gryba will get suspended for a well timed hit that just happened to end in injury.

I'm sure Montreal fans will want him arrested and jailed for his hit.

He didn't break any rules. Sometimes accidents happen

Sure he did. It's interference. It's a 5 minute major for interference; the ref got the call correct, absolutely. Any major penalty warrants a one game suspension, minimum.

Missed the bit about Kerry Fraser even calling it a bad call. If anything Diaz should sit for even attempting such a stupid pass.

    Wrong topic. Re: Diaz.

Since when was Kerry Fraser an expert on anything except how to fuck up a game? I spent a lot of years on the ice wearing the stripes. That's a 5-minute interference penalty in any game...except, perhaps, in the NHL where the rules are secondary and refs are more like WWE Wresting refs than real hockey officials.
