Want to spend the rest of your life on Mars? Mars One, which plans to send humans to establish a permanent settlement on Mars in 2023, began accepting online applications this week.
Wow, you have to be 100% sure about applying for this. One-way.
This post from the comments section made me laugh though...
This just in............. Gary Bettman (when learning of the Mars project) announces the Pheonix Coyote relocation to an even dryer place with about the same number of fans. He assures the league, the move will be cost effective and it will be good for the game.
Like anyone would make it there alive in the first place with the available technology. Any ship with enough shielding to protect against solar radiation in the void would be far too heavy to be launched from Earth and would have to be built in space. Based on that, no-one currently alive today will ever set foot on Mars.

You sound like someone in 1960 saying that man will never make it to the moon.

Outdoor game vs. the Leafs scheduled for 2024.
I'd go. In a heartbeat.
Are you going to apply?

No, although there are next to no requirements, I wouldn't fit the later qualifications. Too many medical issues.
I think there are easier ways of getting a divorce. (had to say it)
You don't need to ask for a divorce... one day after breakfast you just disappear.
Does the process allow the nomination of deserving candidates? I have a few in mind.
I'd go so far as to sponsor people by brazenly bribing the judges.

They'll never know they were nominated until the chloroform wears off, and they wake up after the launch

I don't think they're too worried about you surviving.
