"Cunningham said Singh's mother in Calgary went down and visited every year while claiming to authorities that she had no idea where the fugitive was".

Throw this bitch in jail too.

Lying to the police down here is a crime. At the least she should get time for harboring a fugitive and obstruction of justice.

    Bart,

Aiding and Abetting in Canada could (and should) net her the same sentence as the person that perpetrates the crime.

Section 21(1) - Canadian Criminal Code

I would be surprised if they didn't go after the family here. The police involved here spent years--a good chunk of their careers--to get this guy--and hats off to them. I don't really know, but it could be they will not press charges uniutl they have complied all teh evidence they need to make an aiding and abetting charge stick.

Also, FYI, apparently the Mr Big sting is illegal in teh US--which is why they targetted the murderer's brother.
