The annual tradition of losing in hour's sleep on night in the spring appeared during the First World War, as a money-saving measure, but these days the time-shift seems only to cost us — in health.
I wonder if they have done a study for people going to the bar till all hours of the night. Every weekend. I wonder if that brings on fatigue, or maybe heart attacks

Maybe that falls under the alcohol being the greatest health threat for Canadians.

Don't blame this bullshit on farmers! I live right in the middle of a farming community, and I can tell you, the vitriol spewed by the farmers around here about DST around here...
Twice a year I hear the threats about "packing up the farm and moving to Saskabush"!

Twice a year I hear the threats about "packing up the farm and moving to Saskabush"! Nobody seems to like it but our Governments impose it on us anyway.
DST is one of mankind's greatest inventions - anything that lets me sit on my deck and enjoy the sun until 10pm in the summer ranks up there with electricity, flight & computers!

If it was a day that I could sleep in on it wouldn't bother me at all and didn't back when I had Sundays off. I had to be up at 615 this morning for work and it was hard to drag my ass out of bed... another hour sleep would have been nice .
I would prefer just to leave it as is and not bother changing it twice a year. Not likely that it'll ever change though.
