The Hamilton workers are drawing a day’s pay for, just minutes of actual work. What happened to the asphalt is under investigation

    Obviously the Union will be involved, its what they do. If they had been arrested for a criminal offence (which asphalt dumping likely will be in some form), they'd be entitled to a defence lawyer and their day in court. You, the tax-payer, pay for that.

    Why is it different when a union represents a worker with union money?

    I'm not defending their actions, they should be fired, but because the evidence against them remaining employed is abundant doesn't mean we cheer on throwing out due process.
