Crew evacuated as US Navy minesweeper remains stuck on Philippines reef

The crew of a U.S. Navy minesweeper that ran aground in a protected marine sanctuary off the Philippines was evacuated on Friday as the ship remained stuck on a reef.  The USS Guardian, an Avenger-class minesweeper, hit the Tubbataha Reef in the Sul

    He'll probably get the Officers discount package, loss of Command and that Court Martial thingie. :D

    Maybe the Nav O can give him some support at the Court Martial because he sure as hell didn't give him any when it came to reading a chart. :oops:

    I didn't know he was a submariner.....
    Aside from that, you and I both know BC Ferries does not have a stellar record for safety, managing to hit each other, rocks and docks.... :roll: :roll:

    True, but in fairness, their public relations dept has always been ready to explain how all collisions, groundings and sinkings were caused by "mechanical" problems. :D

    I guess with the ferry corp human error is pretty much non existant except for when hormones are involved. 8O
