A team from Japan's National Science Museum has captured what's considered to be the first ever film footage of a giant squid in its natural habitat.

    @1Peg, I hope not, but given the japanese rep for sustaining the enviroment, i.e. trapping and slaughtering hundreds of dolphins at a time, "Research" whaling boats, etc I fear you're probably correct.

    Wouldn't be surprised if the only reason the Japanese are interesting in these Giants Squids is tones of more supply of squid sashimi.
